For our Wood Sneakers, we use completely biodegradable wood fibers. Their material is made out of cellulose from Eucalyptus trees that grow in FSC-certified, sustainable forests—completely without the use of chemicals!

Eucalyptus fibers are able to hold—and then wick away—around 50% more moisture than cotton. These fibers are cooling in hot temperatures, and help keep your skin’s temperature comfortable. All of this means one thing: our Wood Sneaker will be your best friend on hot summer days!

Embarrassed by smelly shoes? Not with our Wood Sneaker. The flat structure of the Eucalyptus fiber prevents bacteria from setting into the material, which means no unpleasant smells—ever.

The new, extra-light EVA foam we use in our Wood Sneakers gives even more cushioning than traditional EVA material. Our Advanced-Grip-System—which features a treaded, natural rubber sole—offers optimal stability.

Our tried-and-tested interchangeable GIESSWEIN Merino footbed further optimizes the shoe’s moisture-wicking properties. Your feet will stay comfortable and dry all day long.

Machine
washable.

You can easily clean your Wood Sneakers in the washing machine (cold water, 30°C / 90°F, wool wash setting, no fabric softener.) Then, simply let the shoes air dry—they should not be put into the dryer.

Throughout our entire production process, we pay close attention to the way we use natural resources. A highly modern process allows us to have a 99.7% closed production cycle. Plus, we don’t use any chemicals at all. And best of all, we use only 1/20th of the water that is used when producing cotton.
